Academic Excellence

Muruaki Boys Secondary School has a consistent track record of academic performance in national examinations such as the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE). Our students are supported by a team of dedicated teachers who prioritize not only exam readiness but also long-term learning.

Each student is given attention and support to overcome academic challenges and improve their performance. Through remedial classes, mentorship programs, and regular assessments, we ensure that every learner is on a path of continuous improvement.

We encourage a culture of inquiry, discipline in study habits, and teamwork among learners. Students are also prepared to handle real-world challenges with confidence and responsibility.

Who We Are

Founded through the vision and efforts of local leaders led by the late Chief Mr. Machua, Muruaki Boys Secondary School began as a community initiative.

The people of Rugongo, Muruaki, and Faru came together to purchase 15 acres of land, establishing a foundation on which the school proudly stands today.

What began as a humble effort has grown into a strong institution with a clear purpose: to provide access to quality education for boys across the region.

We currently operate as a two-stream boys boarding school, welcoming students from various parts of Kenya who are seeking a solid academic foundation and a disciplined school culture.

Our school community is guided by the core values of respect, integrity, responsibility, and perseverance.

Classrooms and Learning Facilities

We are equipped with 15 classrooms that are spacious, well-lit, and organized for effective learning. Each classroom is managed by qualified teachers who provide students with both academic guidance and mentorship.

Library

Our school library provides access to a wide range of academic resources, reference materials, and reading content across all subject areas. Students are encouraged to cultivate a reading culture and conduct independent research to enhance their understanding.

Science Laboratories

We have three fully equipped science laboratories where students engage in practical experiments in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Science education is a key component of our curriculum, and our facilities provide hands-on experience that enhances theoretical knowledge.

ICT Integration

Recognizing the role of technology in modern education, we have an ICT room that supports digital literacy. The facility is equipped with computers and is used for both instruction and self-paced learning. We aim to prepare our students for a technology-driven world by teaching essential ICT skills.
